Founded in 2007, the Eastside Community Action Center (ECAC) is dedicated to supporting the residents of Lansing, Michigan. Our mission is to provide social and educational assistance to children and adults, with a special focus on those who are vulnerable or at-risk. We strive to be a central hub for charitable and educational activities, helping to meet the needs of our community.

Our Mission
The Eastside Community Action Center works to reduce barriers to self-sufficiency and build a stronger, safer community by providing comprehensive wraparound services - including support for basic needs, youth development, housing stability, violence prevention, and economic empowerment.​​

The Eastside Community Action Center is dedicated to providing basic needs such as food and clothing, as well as improving the well-being of our Lansing neighbors in need. We recognize that not everybody in our community has equal access to opportunity, and that institutional barriers can be a barrier to self-sufficiency. We help to reduce those obstacles via innovative programs and strong community connections, whilst treating everyone with dignity and respect.
